Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will once again face Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC playoffs.
This time, though, Allen and the Bills will be at home with an AFC championship appearance on the line in what is perhaps the biggest game of Allen’s career.
He’s been one of the best quarterbacks for years, yet a trip to the Super Bowl has eluded him because of postseason collapses – either at the hands of the Chiefs or the Cincinnati Bengals.
Now, he’ll get arguably the weakest version of the Mahomes-led Chiefs within the friendly confines of Highmark Stadium after Allen led the Bills to an AFC East title.
But, as Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd believes, the pressure will be on for Allen to finally get over the hump.
“The pressure this weekend more than any player is on Josh Allen,” Cowherd said.

A win for Allen and the Bills means either a trip to face the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens or another home game against the Houston Texans – both of which are winnable games for one of the best teams in the NFL.
But a loss means another disappointing end to a season for a team who’s Super Bowl window continues to get smaller and smaller.
If Allen can’t get it done this weekend, there will be serious questions about if this Bills team will ever contend for a Super Bowl or if wholesale changes need to be made for the future.
We’ll find out Sunday night in the final game of the divisional round.
