Just one month ago, it seemed like Jayden Daniels was the undisputed best rookie quarterback in the National Football League.
If the season had ended there, he would’ve run away with Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, and it wouldn’t have been crazy to include him in the MVP conversation.
Fast forward to today, and the Washington Commanders have now dropped three games in a row.
Their once-explosive offense has hit a bit of a wall, and so has their star rookie.
In the meantime, Bo Nix has put the Denver Broncos on his shoulders, and some believe he’s already eclipsed his fellow rookie.
Notably, Colin Cowherd is one of those people.
Talking to John Middlekauff on his podcast, he pointed out that Nix has 15 touchdowns against two interceptions in his past eight games, with the Broncos going 5-3.

Nix hasn’t turned the ball over in 14 quarters, and it’s remarkable that the Broncos are playing this well despite having to move on from so many talented players because of the salary cap.
Daniels’ numbers and game are impressive, but he’s taken a step back after taking the league by storm early on.
Nix leads all rookies in games with at least 200 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and no interceptions (5), with Daniels having just three.
It seems like you couldn’t go wrong with either of these young men if you were to build an offense from scratch, and this might be a race for the ages until the end of the season.
