Over the past decade or so, the Dallas Cowboys have had a solid run game with star running back Ezekiel Elliott leading the way for the storied franchise.
Unfortunately for Elliott, the team noticed that the veteran back had lost a step or two over the past couple of years but has since seen a star emerge in the form of Tony Pollard, who earned his first Pro Bowl nod during the 2022 NFL season.
As a result of Pollard’s emergence, the Cowboys have moved on from Elliott and have made the first-time Pro Bowler their led back moving forward.
With Pollard starting to become a household name in the NFL as arguably one of the best backs in the league today, Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb talked about watching his talented teammate play via PFF.

Although the door hasn’t completely shut on Elliott returning to Dallas, as he remains a free agent and looking for work in the NFL, Pollard is without a doubt the future of the team’s run game and will be a player to watch during the upcoming season.
Pollard had a breakout year in 2022, with the young up-and-comer racking up 1,378 yards from scrimmage and 12 total touchdowns to earn his first trip to the Pro Bowl and represent America’s Team.
In 2023, Pollard will look to improve these numbers while being the undisputed first option out of the backfield for the Cowboys as Dallas tries to take one step closer to winning a Super Bowl for the first time since 1995 during the Jerry Jones era.
