The Buffalo Bills know that their window to win a Super Bowl is now.
They’ve been so close to the prize the past two seasons, and it’s a matter of adding some pieces around their core.
That’s why they brought in Von Miller on a six-year deal.
However, it’s equally important to retain Josh Allen‘s targets downfield, especially Stefon Diggs.
Diggs had a solid 2021 season with 1,225 yards and ten touchdowns.
For that reason, the Bills wanted him to stay for a while, as ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter reported.
Another mega deal: Bills reached agreement with WR Stefon Diggs on a 4-year, $104 million extension that includes $70 million guaranteed, sources tell ESPN. Deal ties Diggs to Buffalo for six more years, at $124.1M, with the intent from both sides to have him retire in Buffalo. pic.twitter.com/ptSQ3eE54D

Diggs gets job security as long as he continues to perform well, which is suitable for the Bills’ cause.
If all goes well, he will also get to play in the Bills’ new stadium that will open around 2026.
Likewise, the annual average value of his new deal puts him within the contracts that Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill signed.
Buffalo Needs Diggs
Buffalo’s receiving corps is shaping up to be one of the league’s best.
They brought in Jamison Crowder to replace Cole Beasley, while Gabriel Davis is poised for a breakout season in 2022.
Davis and Allen found their chemistry during last season’s Divisional Weekend, and they look to keep that momentum.
But Diggs will still be their primary option, and they badly need him because the Miami Dolphins have reloaded on offense.
The Dolphins would like to surpass the Bills by bringing in Hill, Chase Edmonds, and Cedrick Wilson.
Therefore, Buffalo needs Diggs to match Miami’s firepower.
