While there’s no confirmation yet about the Cleveland Browns‘ next move, Baker Mayfield’s heartfelt message may have given a hint on the changes that will happen soon.
He basically said thank you to the city of Cleveland, especially Browns fans who supported him for four seasons.
Meanwhile, he added that the future remains uncertain and he’s unsure where he would play next.
His statement could be an indication that the Browns are making a strong push for Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson.
If that deal pushes through, Mayfield will likely be part of the package that the Houston Texans will receive.
But if he would have his way, he would like to be traded to this AFC team, as NFL reporter Dov Kleiman shared.

Kleiman tweeted, “Baker Mayfield prefers to be traded to the #Colts, according to PFN. #Browns GM Andrew Berry has promised to work with Mayfield’s team and send him to a place of his choosing.”
This deal would only happen if the Browns are certain that they are getting Watson.
Otherwise, Mayfield might remain their starter for at least one more year.
Why The Colts Make Sense For Mayfield
Joining Indianapolis will be like Browns 2.0 for Mayfield.
The strength of their offense comes from All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor, who finished the 2021 season with 1,811 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Mayfield is comfortable playing with an explosive backfield and Taylor has the ability to break out for big runs.
Meanwhile, Nyheim Hines is also a decent change-of-pace running back.
Likewise, the Colts also have a solid offensive line with Ryan Kelly, Eric Fisher, and Quenton Nelson.
Michael Pittman, T.Y. Hilton, and Parris Campbell will be his top options in the passing game, just like when he had Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones.
