The Milwaukee Bucks shocked the NBA by acquiring Damian Lillard in a blockbuster trade with the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this offseason.
The Bucks primarily dealt Jrue Holiday to the Trail Blazers in exchange for Lillard’s services.
Following the trade to the Trail Blazers, Holiday was almost immediately shipped to the Boston Celtics.
Holiday’s addition to the team makes the Celtics one of the best teams in the NBA for the upcoming season.
Former Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala recently named Holiday as the league’s most underrated player, via “First Take” on Twitter.
“[Jrue Holiday] is the most underrated player of this generation,” Iguodala said.

Iguodala recently announced his retirement from the NBA after winning four titles and a Finals MVP over his 19-year-long career in the league.
Following retirement, Iguodala is seemingly on his way to pursuing a career as an NBA journalist, and his take on Holiday is spot on.
Holiday’s arrival to the Bucks ahead of the 2020-21 season helped the team win the 2021 NBA Championship.
While Holiday is primarily known for his defensive prowess, he’s a solid scorer as well.
In the 2022-23 season, Holiday averaged 19.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game for the Bucks.
Considering the Celtics already had the trio of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis, adding Holiday undoubtedly makes them the team to beat in the Eastern Conference this season.
