The Dallas Cowboys found success during the regular season in 2022, finishing the year with a 12-5 record.
However, they fell short in the playoffs, losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round.
This marked another disappointing season for the Cowboys, who are itching to get back to a long-eluded Super Bowl appearance.
In a recent segment on the NFL Network, David Carr highlighted something that he believes will be helpful for this offense.
When referencing the opportunity for Mike McCarthy to call the plays, Carr said, “They’re going to be more intentional.”

Carr believes that the Cowboys’ offense was sporadic and chaotic last season, something that is slated to change with McCarthy at the helm.
McCarthy is entering his fourth season as the Cowboys’ head coach, but this will be the first time he’ll be able to truly run the offense.
He’s led the Cowboys to the postseason in two-straight seasons but hasn’t been able to truly help them break through.
McCarthy was very successful during his time at the Green Bay Packers, as the team made the playoffs nine times during his tenure.
This included a Super Bowl victory in 2010.
Of anyone in the Cowboys organization and coaching staff, McCarthy knows what it takes to get to the title game.
Will the offense be able to adapt to a new system with McCarthy now calling plays?
Carr seems to think so.
If they are unable to make a deep postseason run, it could spur a massive change during the 2024 offseason.
