The New York Jets are in the midst of a very bumpy and noisy 2024 season.
While the team did get their fourth win of the season last Sunday, a new report from The Athletic has come out about the way the organization is being run by owner Woody Johnson.
The report includes notes about Johnson vetoing a trade for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy due to his Madden rating, as well as Johnson’s 17-year-old son, Brick Johnson, partially being in charge.
Fox Sports personality Nick Wright reacted to this news Thursday on First Things First.
“This is, without question, the worst job opening in football and they are going to regret rebuffing Bill Belichick’s phone call,” Wright said.

Parts of this report feel a little far-fetched.
No, the Jets have not been run well at all since Johnson took over as owner back in 2000, but that doesn’t mean he grades players based on what happens in some video game.
Additionally, having the former general manager in Joe Douglas report to the teenage son of the owner seems a little wild, as well.
In this day and age, it is hard to figure out what the actual truth is, but this is still the New York Jets.
Additionally, the Jets are slated to look for a new head coach this offseason, and it is going to be difficult to find the right head coach with all of this noise happening around the team.
