Ahead of the official, full release of the 2023 NFL regular-season schedule, some big matchups have been leaked.
One of them will be quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ debut with the New York Jets, and it will be an intriguing one.
He and his new mates will take on the Buffalo Bills in an upstate-downstate battle on Monday Night Football in Week 1 at MetLife Stadium.
Rodgers will be looking to keep his streak of nine consecutive Monday Night Football wins as a starter intact, and it could foretell the result of his new team’s season opener.
A good omen for the #Jets? They open on Monday Night Football vs the #Bills and Aaron Rodgers has won 9 straight starts on MNF, tied for the third-longest streak in history, per @ESPNStatsInfo.

Rodgers has become polarizing over the last couple of years because of some off-the-field missteps, but his legacy is undeniable.
He led the Green Bay Packers to their most recent Super Bowl championship in the 2010 season, and even though they haven’t gotten back to the big game since, he has almost always kept them competitive.
The one exception was last season when they finished 8-9 and missed the playoffs, due greatly to an anemic offense following last offseason’s departure of star wide receiver Davante Adams.
In New York, Rodgers has joined forces with stud wideout Garrett Wilson, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, as well as Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, both of whom he played with in Green Bay the last couple of years.
The future Hall of Famer will also have the benefit of the NFL’s fourth-leading scoring defense last year that includes Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner and All-Pro first-team defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
