Not too long ago, Albert Pujols was playing out his final season with the St. Louis Cardinals and chasing some milestones.
The veteran slugger retired after the Cardinals lost to the eventual National League champion Philadelphia Phillies in the Wild Card series.
But after working as an analyst on Peacock for Sunday’s game between the Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates, the three-time National League MVP has picked up another gig.
Pujols will now be working as an analyst with MLB Network.
On Twitter, MLB Network announced the news of the latest addition to their team of analysts, giving Pujols a warm welcome.
Three-time MVP, two-time World Series champion, one of just four members of the 700 home run club and now the newest MLB Network analyst!

Pujols spent most of his career in St. Louis, but also spent time with the Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Over the course of his career, he earned 12 All-Star selections, won two Gold Gloves, six Silver Slugger Awards, a Rookie of the Year Award, and a batting title.
He also earned Comeback Player of the Year honors in the National League last season after his second-half surge resulted in him reaching the 700-home run mark.
Pujols is one of just four players to have reached that mark.
In addition, Pujols won two World Series rings in St. Louis.
Having played alongside some legendary players such as Scott Rolen, Jim Edmonds, Adam Wainwright, Mike Trout, and Shohei Ohtani, Pujols should bring some valuable insight to the MLB Network team as he prepares to begin the next chapter of his life.
He played 22 seasons in the Major Leagues and hit for a career .296 average.
