Thursday night’s NFL matchup between the Tennessee Titans and Green Bay Packers featured two teams that are going in very different directions.
Nothing changed in this contest, as the Titans won, 27-17, to widen their lead as the first-place team in the AFC South.
Meanwhile, it was the Packers’ sixth loss in their last seven games, and the rain clouds over the team continued to darken and thicken.
These two men were arguably most responsible for Tennessee’s victory, as they stood out in a big way.
1. Ryan Tannehill
Green Bay’s defense was fixated on stopping running back Derrick Henry, and it didn’t do too badly in that regard, as it held him to 87 yards on a weak 3.1 yards per carry.
However, with the Packers’ defense shifted more towards the line of scrimmage, there were plenty of opportunities downfield, and Ryan Tannehill took advantage.
He went 22 of 27 as he threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns and finished with a 127.3 passer rating.
It may have been his best performance since coming to Tennessee.
Idc about the pick. Ryan Tannehill played his best game as a Titan tonight. Probably of his career. The man was awesome. Shoutout Treylon Burks and *whispers* Todd Downing.

In fact, Tannehill climbed higher in a category few would’ve expected him to rank high in.
He’s now tied for the third-most wins by a starting quarterback since Week 7 of the 2019 season, which is when he became the Titans’ starter.

2. Treylon Burks
Another man who made Green Bay pay for locking in on Henry was Treylon Burks.
The rookie wide receiver came into Thursday with just 153 yards in five games, but he exploded for 111 yards on just seven catches against the Packers.

With the game sewn up late in the fourth quarter, he sprung downfield and converted a 51-yard reception to cap his big night.
