The New England Patriots continue to march strongly.
They’re riding a league-best six-game winning streak and have built a 7-2 record.
Notably, each of their losses came in a one-score game, and one was in the season opener.
Drake Maye is playing at an elite level, and the second-year quarterback was quick to turn the page after a subpar performance in the Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
As shown by Real Sports, Maye now has eight consecutive games with at least 200 passing yards and a passer rating of 100.0 or better.
That’s the third-longest streak in NFL history, trailing only Tom Brady (9 in 2007) and Aaron Rodgers (12 in 2011).

Notably, Brady and Rodgers each won NFL MVP in those seasons, and judging by the way Maye is playing, there’s a reason to believe he will do the same.
He has developed impressive chemistry with wide receiver Stefon Diggs, and the Patriots have restored a defensive dominance to put him in a better position to succeed.
Head coach Mike Vrabel has turned the Patriots around overnight, and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels proved to be the right guy to develop their franchise quarterback.
Playing that position for New England will always carry additional weight.
But Maye is doing a great job of shutting down the outside noise and not being overwhelmed by the legend of Brady.
Instead, he’s making history of his own.
