The long road of recovery continues for Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans.
Williamson didn’t play a single game this season because of a foot injury, surgery, and rehabilitation that has kept him off the court.
His team did surprisingly well without him and even made an impact in the first round of the playoffs against the Phoenix Suns.
Yes, they impressed and surpassed expectations but they are still missing Williamson and want him back.
It looks like he may be coming back soon.

He was seen working out in his old stomping grounds, the Duke men’s basketball gym.
It’s hard to tell with pictures alone but Williamson is looking quite good.
He appears healthy, toned, physically imposing, and ready to play.
Is the second age of Williamson about to begin?
Zion’s Return
If he does come back at the beginning of next season as expected, the Pelicans will be one of the most exciting teams in the entire league.
Even without Williamson, they are garnering a lot of attention and new fans because of their wonderful lineup.
Between Brandon Ingram, CJ McCollum, Jonas Valanciunas, Herb Jones, and others, this squad is an up-and-coming one that has surpassed expectations multiple times this year.
They already turned themselves into playoff contenders even without Williamson.
Imagine what they can be like when he’s back and healthy.
Williamson was an explosive player during his short time in the league.
He was an offensive powerhouse but he was also a defensive unit too.
At times, he was a force of nature that seemingly couldn’t be stopped.
When he’s ready to play again, he’s going to take the Pelicans to a whole other level.
