Fans of the New Orleans Pelicans are eager and ready for the 2022-23 season to start.
That’s not only because the team has some wonderful players like Brandon Ingram, CJ McCollum, and others.
But it’s mostly because the Pels are finally about to get their star player back.
Yes, Zion Williamson is on the verge of returning to the NBA after more than a year away recovering from injury.
That means that followers of New Orleans and all of the NBA are about to again see the true raw power of Williamson.
"I'm in the gym and something happens and I'm like 'Oh man, I can really do that! That's different!'" 😂

That is quite a lot of power.
In fact, it’s so much power that even Williamson himself is impressed.
Speaking to the press during the Pelicans’ media day, Williamson said, “I’m in the gym and something happens and I’m like ‘Oh man, I can really do that! That’s different!'”
This statement should have the rest of the league shaking in their boots because it means he’s gotten even better during his time away from the game.
Williamson Ready
Williamson was the number one draft pick back in 2019 but he still has yet to play more than 100 games for his Pelicans.
That is because he has been prone to injury during his first two years in the league.
However, when he did play, he was undeniably terrific: 25.7 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists a game.
Now Williamson looks even better and more physically fit than ever before.
He also has something to prove and wants to be an NBA All-Star once again.
In many ways, this will be a revenge season for Williamson and that could be absolutely incredible to watch.
He has already impressed himself and now it’s time for Williamson to impress the rest of the world.
