Zach Wilson is no longer the New York Jets’ third-string quarterback.
Despite leaving Sunday’s game twice due to injury, along with going to the hospital to get checked out, Mike White is still gearing up to start for the Jets this week.

Wilson has been promoted to White’s backup, even though Joe Flacco had previously been said to be their second-string quarterback moving forward.
The Jets had selected Wilson as the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he has severely underwhelmed their expectations for him, which is why White is starting in the first place, even though he is not at 100 percent health.
A Tale Of Three Quarterbacks
So far this season, the Jets have rolled out White, Wilson, and Flacco at quarterback.
White has started three games, Flacco has also started three, with Wilson starting the remaining seven.
In three starts this season, White has a 1-2 record, throwing for 952 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
White has completed 62 percent of his passes this season.
Flacco is also 1-2 in the three games that he’s started.
He completed just 58.2 percent of his passes in those games, threw for 902 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions.
Then, we have Wilson.
In his seven starts, Wilson had a record of 5-2.
While the Jets’ record was positive during this time, Wilson didn’t perform well.
He completed just 55.6 percent of passes, threw for 1,279 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions.
None of these quarterbacks have been impressive, from a statistical standpoint.
However, the Jets feel that they have the best opportunity to win with White at the helm.
