Baseball is the greatest game of all: no other sport creates such a perfect opportunity to pass fandom from generation to generation.
Parents usually take their kids to the ballgame, and the latter are often fascinated with what they see: the large crowds, the fun game, fans chanting players’ names, and players waving back, or answering with their performance on the field.
A young Baltimore Orioles fan at Camden Yards was certainly in the spotlight on Monday, in the series opener against the New York Yankees.

A proud father (or, at least, that’s what it looked like) was taking pictures of his young son holding a ball, presumably one he caught during the game.
Sometimes, The Best Things Happen Off The Field, In The Stands
As the father got distracted, the kid threw the ball at the field, and everybody was shocked, even the TV broadcasters and announcers.
Yankees center fielder Aaron Hicks picked up the ball and threw it to some fans: his attention was obviously in the game and he didn’t see the aforementioned incident.
But fans watched the child and knew it was his ball.
He was extremely happy with it, and he probably threw it because everybody on the field was doing the same thing!
That’s why the fans gifted the ball back to the kid, and his father lifted him in celebration.
It was a hilarious, yet extremely wholesome moment of fandom, family, giving, and baseball.
Sometimes, the best things in a stadium happen in the stands, not on the field.
The young kid went home with his new baseball and a cool story to tell his friends and family.
