Giancarlo Stanton has had a successful career so far.
He has a long history of blasting towering home runs.
He has such a sweet swing and can hit the baseball high and far.
He has mainly served as the designated hitter during his time with the New York Yankees.
However, there was a time when Stanton played full-time in the outfield, and today, the Yankees did a little experiment with their slugger.
In today’s game, Stanton hit from the cleanup spot in the Yankees batting order but was back in the field for the first time in a while, playing right field.

A New Home
It is a little weird to see Stanton back on the field after spending so much time in the DH spot.
It’s even weirder to see Aaron Judge in the DH spot and not in right field.
But it does go to show the options that the Yankees have at their disposal now that Joey Gallo is a part of their team.
Stanton, when healthy, is a very versatile player and can play in the outfield when need be.
After all, he was the regular right fielder with the Miami Marlins while he was there.
So we know Stanton is capable of playing in the outfield.
The big question everybody has is whether or not the former MVP can stay healthy.
If he’s playing in the outfield, that might mean he’s healthier than he has been in a while.
Still, it’s a little weird to see him in the outfield after so much time as a DH.
Perhaps the Yankees have some experiments planned for their slugger.
Maybe that means more reps in the outfield.

Stanton played in the OF about 2-3 days a week the 2nd half of last season, which was a big reason why he stayed healthy and hit better
