The New York Yankees are an undeniably storied franchise.
Of course, they have the most championships of any sports organization in history.
They also are extremely valuable and are worth billions upon billions of dollars.
So it’s no surprise to see them at the top of the top ten list of most valuable MLB franchises according to Forbes.
The Yankees currently sit at a mind blowing $6 billion, with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, and San Francisco Giants rounding out the top five, sitting at $4.075 billion, $3.9 billion, $3.8 billion, and $3.5 billion, respectively.
The New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Angels, and Atlanta Braves make up the bottom five of the list.

Yankees Worth A Fortune
New York is worth a ton of money and find themselves at the top of the list to nobody’s surprise.
Though it’s no surprise to see the Yankees at the top, $6 billion is an absolutely stunning amount of money.
This of course has everything to do with the market the Yankees are in.
New York City is one of the largest markets in all of sports, so there’s tons of money to be made from that.
They also are still a very successful franchise, having won 27 World Series titles and 40 American League pennants.
They’ve reached the postseason every year since 2016 and have gotten to the ALCS twice, winning no fewer than 91 games each season, with the exception of 2020, which was a shortened season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
They also have a ton of money invested in Gerrit Cole and Giancarlo Stanton.
But still, $6 billion is absolutely mind blowing.
One can only imagine how much money goes into each aspect of owning that franchise.
