The New York Yankees have all arrived at their spring training complex in Tampa, Florida as they prepare to rebound from a tough ALCS loss at the hands of the Houston Astros last season.
But as spring training begins, the team is all smiles and ready to roll for 2023.
On Tuesday, everybody was loose and enjoying each other’s company, and as players walked into camp, the Yankees’ TikTok person had a very important question for them.
Players were asked who their favorite or go-to characters are from the famous racing game, Mario Kart.
Several players had different responses to the question.

Nestor Cortes had a rather obvious answer.
His likeness if often compared to that of Mario, and as it turns out, it’s an accurate assumption.
Cortes answered that Mario was his go-to character.
Gleyber Torres also answered that Mario was his favorite.
Harrison Bader had an interesting answer.
He couldn’t remember the name at first, but he stated that Waluigi was a “good one.”
Slugger Anthony Rizzo and catcher Kyle Higashioka had the same answer.
Both players answered that Toad was their go-to character.
Carlos Rodon also answered that Toad, who he referred to as “Todd”, was his go-to, but stated that sometimes he learns towards the famous Luigi.
Left-hander Wandy Peralta concurred, answering “Honguito”, which is Spanish for Toad.
Gerrit Cole and team legend Nick Swisher were the last two to answer.
Both of them chose the lovable Yoshi as their favorite.
Clearly, the Yankees enjoy a little Mario Kart and had fun with this little survey.
