The New York Yankees enter the month of May with the best record in all of baseball.
They just finished off a three-game sweep over the Kansas City Royals at Kaufmann Stadium and bumped their winning streak up to nine games.
Their early success is thanks in large part to their power numbers.
They are tied with the Toronto Blue Jays for the most home runs in all of Major League Baseball.
A new power duo has formed in the Bronx as of late.
No, it’s not Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.
Judge is part of it, but slugging first baseman Anthony Rizzo makes up the other half.
Both Rizzo and Judge have the most home runs in the American League with nine and eight, respectively.

Yankees On A Roll
This team is on an absolute tear and their power duo has carried them through the first month of the 2022 regular season.
The power numbers across the league are down, but not for the Yankees.
The veteran Rizzo appears to have found his footing again after a couple of rough seasons.
Judge also appears to be back to his 2017 AL Rookie of the Year self, barring any potential injuries.
The two veteran sluggers are leading the way for the Bronx Bombers and forming perhaps the best power duo in all of baseball.
If these two sluggers can stay hot and keep mashing home runs, the rest of the American League is going to have a hard time stopping the Yankees.
The team is red hot and has firmly placed itself at the top of the AL.
We’ll see if Judge and Rizzo can stay healthy and keep hitting blasts.
