The New York Yankees will take on the Chicago White Sox for the second game of their series on Friday, at 8:10 p.m. ET.

The first one, played on Thursday night, ended up in a 15-7 blowout.

The Yankees are currently 23-8, which is comfortably the best record in baseball, and are looking to make some more history.

We have already said that every time they won 22 out of their first 30 games, they made it all the way to the World Series.

Let’s double down on the bet: when they earn a victory in 24 of their first 32 games, they always win the Fall Classic.

“The #Yankees are looking to win 24 of their first 32 games for just the fifth time in franchise history – 1928 (26-6), 1939 (26-6), 1958 (25-7), and 1998 (25-7).  They won the World Series each of those four previous years,” Bryan Hoch, who covers the team for MLB.com, tweeted on Friday.

History Is On The Yankees’ Side

The Bombers have won at least 24 of their first 32 games four times, and each time, the season has finished with celebration and joy.

Could this be the fifth time?

They will have to beat the White Sox tonight first, though, to have a chance at keeping the trend alive.

The Yankees already beat the White Sox’s best starter, Dylan Cease, and they will face right-hander Vince Velasquez tonight.

Velasquez has a 2-2 record with a solid 3.97 ERA.

The Yanks are going to send their ace, Gerrit Cole, to the mound.

After a rocky beginning, Cole’s ERA is already down to 2.67: he is looking like vintage Cole and will be very difficult to beat tonight.

The White Sox, however, remain an excellent team despite all their injuries, and could very well win the game.
