The All-Star break is over: players gifted us an exciting Home Run Derby and a well-played Midsummer Classic with lots of good pitching and power performances.
After a day off on Wednesday, however, we are all ready for baseball to return.
What better game to welcome us back than the doubleheader on the schedule for today?
The New York Yankees, the best team in baseball and the one many fans want to watch, will take on the Houston Astros, another elite team that knows how to play the Yanks, for two games.

It’s a perfect way to open the second half: the two best teams in the American League facing each other.
The 64-28 Yankees have been, head and shoulders, above the competition in both leagues.
But the Astros have won three of the five games between the two squads this season and have a run differential of +2.
The Astros Can Challenge The Yankees
The Yankees know the Astros are dangerous, and if they want to prove that they have no rivals in the American League, they will have to go through Houston.
The Astros activated All-World slugger Yordan Alvarez from the injured list and he will probably return in the second game of the doubleheader.
On the other hand, Domingo German will make his season debut for the Yanks, after missing the whole campaign to this point with a shoulder ailment.
Throughout history, the Yankees have been good for TV: lots of people love them, and even more fans want to see them lose.
MLB rejoices.
