After the Houston Astros – Seattle Mariners afternoon game, there will be no more baseball today.
The National League will rest today, and the game between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians has been postponed.
“Tonight’s NYY-CLE game is postponed due to the forecast of sustained inclement weather & will be made up tomorrow, Friday, October 14 at 1:07 PM,” the Yankees’ official Twitter account reported.

The game was scheduled for primetime on Thursday night, but the odds of rain interrupting the clash are too high for the league to risk a long delay.
That’s why MLB opted to get this over with and reschedule the game for tomorrow, with the play ball voice coming at 1:07 pm ET.
The Yankees Are Up 1-0, But Cleveland Is Far From Dead
The Yankees are up 1-0 in the American League Division Series by virtue of their 4-1 victory on Tuesday.
Gerrit Cole dominated from the mound with 6.1 innings of one run and eight strikeouts.
Cleveland is far from finished, though.
They have a dominant bullpen, perhaps even better than the Yankees’, and while their bats are not nearly as talented, they usually find a way to score runs and remain competitive.
Rain got in the way today, but it should be a fun rest of the series starting on Friday.
