We have passed the midpoint of the 2022 MLB season.

The All-Star break has come and gone.

Now, we shift our focus to the second half of the season, which begins tonight.

As we take a look at the power rankings, we can see that one thing in particular has not changed.

The New York Yankees, who were the best team in baseball during the first half of the season, enter the second half where they’ve been most of the season, at the top of the MLB power rankings.

MLB tweeted a list of the top 10 teams in the power rankings, which of course had the Yankees at No. 1.

The 2nd half starts today and we have new Power Rankings!

Yanks Still No. 1

Buckle up, baseball fans.

The second half is here.

But the Yankees are still the top dog.

If you’re going to win the World Series in 2022, you’re going to have to go through the Bronx Bombers.

Led by Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, the Yankees are hitting a ton of home runs and scoring plenty of runs as a result.

Their pitching has been quite solid as well, with Nestor Cortes and Gerrit Cole pacing the rotation and Clay Holmes dominating as the team’s closer.

There isn’t much teams can do to stop them at this point.

The second half though is where we see who the true contenders are.

It’s safe to say that the Yankees have already put themselves in that conversation.

But there is still a lot of season left.

There’s no telling what’s going to happen once we get rolling again.

The trade deadline will help paint a clearer picture as we see who does what before August 2.

But for now, New York remains at the top.
