The New York Yankees are on a nine-game win streak.

They finished off a three-game sweep over the Kansas City Royals at Kaufmann Stadium over the weekend and have catapulted themselves to the best record in all of Major League Baseball at 16-6.

They now head to Toronto to take on the second-place Toronto Blue Jays in an all-important series this week.

The city of Toronto has strict rules regarding the vaccination status of athletes.

Any player from any team that is unvaccinated is not allowed to play in games that take place in Toronto.

However, the Yankees, who previously had some players who had yet to be vaccinated, now have every player on their roster fully vaccinated heading into their series in Toronto.

Yankees Set For Toronto

While it’s good that everybody is vaccinated and hopefully well-protected against COVID-19, it’s even better that the Yankees get to come into Toronto with their team at full strength.

As we all know, the Blue Jays were incredibly busy this offseason, adding Kevin Gausman and Yusei Kikuchi to a starting rotation that already featured Alek Manoah and Jose Berrios.

They also had acquired Matt Chapman from the Oakland Athletics.

Needless to say, if you’re playing them, you’ll need your squad at full strength to compete with them.

The Yankees have that now.

They don’t have to worry about being down a few pieces as they open up their series at Rogers Centre.

Their team is now fully vaccinated and ready to go for this all-important matchup between two AL East rivals.

The series begins tonight at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, with Jordan Montgomery taking the mound for New York opposite Ross Stripling.
