The New York Yankees are on an absolute tear.
They own the best record in all of baseball and lead the American League East division by 4.5 games over the second-place Tampa Bay Rays.
Their power has been the main reason for their success, but this is a Yankees ballclub that can do just about anything.
They can hit and pitch and last night, they made a little history in their series opener with the Chicago White Sox.
According to ESPN’s Marly Rivera, the Yankees are the first team in baseball this season to have recorded 12 or more strikeouts while scoring 12 or more runs.
The smart folks at @ESPNStatsInfo tell me the #Yankees are the first team to have 12+ strikeouts and score 12+ runs in the same game this season.

Bronx Dominance
This is an impressive stat.
But it’s no surprise.
The Yankees are a team that can do it all.
They’ve scored the fifth-most runs in all of baseball with 150 and have the third-most strikeouts for pitchers with 294.
This team is dangerous and is starting to look like a clear juggernaut with the ability to take apart their opponents in so many different ways.
To score as many runs as they did last night while striking out as many batters as they did is quite impressive and shows exactly what this ballclub is made of.
This team has one goal in mind, and that is to chase down and capture World Series title No. 28.
There are so many different ways that this team can do that.
They can beat you by dominating you on the mound or hitting tape measure home runs.
We’ll see if it lasts for these Yankees.
They’re confident and are playing their best baseball.
They know what they want to do and that is to win ballgames and have a chance to put it all together in October.
