Aaron Judge is clutch.
This man can hit home runs like nobody’s business and has been carrying the load for a vaunted New York Yankees ballclub.
He’s on pace to hit well over 50 home runs and is putting up MVP-caliber numbers.
In fact, he is leading the race for the American League MVP Award.
But one thing in particular might catch some fans off guard.
Bryan Hoch, the Yankees’ MLB.com beat reporter, tweeted a photo of a graphic shown on the YES Network broadcast.
The graphic shows that Judge has had the most strikes called on him that were out of the zone since 2017 and in this season alone.

Bad Umpiring
Judge is not exactly getting some of the calls that he should be getting.
The umpires are really expanding the zone on him.
But that also is not stopping him from hitting some bombs.
Still, it goes to show how inaccurate some umpires are today.
But it hasn’t affected Judge in any way, as he continues to hit home runs left and right and lead the Yankees to unimaginable heights.
It is shocking though that so many pitches that were called strikes on him have been pitches that were well out of the zone, both this season and since 2017, his rookie year.
Umpires really do seem to be trying to expand the zone on Judge.
So in that case, he’s getting unlucky in a lot of situations.
As Hoch said in his tweet, that’s a lot.
But it doesn’t change how good Judge is when he’s on.

It is TOTALLY insane that you try to say this does not matter!! you act like because he leads MLB in homers and he is having a good year that this is NOT A PROBLEM!! you could not be more wrong!!!
he ONLY gets 3-5 at bats per game and it is almost to the point where one of those ABs is being ruined in ALMOST EVERY GAME!!
you are having almost 1 AB per game where he is being put in a NOT advantageous count through NO FAULT OF HIS OWN!! imagine if this was the opposite and it was one AB a game where the ump was making a mistake in his favor!!
do you NOT realize that good hitters are MOST OFTEN at their best when they get into good counts and they can look for a better pitch to hit and to do damage
it is ZERO exaggeration to say that if Judge would be umped farily that he would be quite easily the most dominant hitter in the game!! this is OVER 50 ABs this year that they have made a hard job even harder!! it is NOT a stretch to say that if you give him those bad calls back and you improve the count in those 50+ AB that he EASILY has another 5 homers and more rbi and better average and better slug better OPS better WAR!!
he would simply be much better across the board. so please DO NOT insult him by pretending this does not matter
