Fans of the New York Yankees are very clearly not pleased with their team as of now.
The Yankees were recently swept in the ALCS by the Houston Astros, who will now represent the American League in the World Series.
Since the Yankees were eliminated, several reports have surfaced of players expressing their discontent with the crowd, citing that it was hard for them to believe that Aaron Judge was being booed.
One fan on Twitter compared a comment Derek Jeter made after being booed in 2004 to the recent reports of players being unhappy with fans booing them.
The caption read, “Yankees then vs Yankees now.”

Yankees Express Discontent With Fans
While it is admirable that Jeter was willing to take the blame for the Yankees’ struggles back then, the circumstances are somewhat different.
First of all, it’s possible that some of the players who spoke to their agents about being upset over the fans booing may not be lifetime Yankees.
Judge has played his entire career thus far in the Bronx thus far, but it is worth noting that when Jeter made the comments about the Yankees’ struggles back in 2004, he had been around for a little bit longer than Judge has at this point.
Also, different players react in different ways to things such as this.
Playing in New York can be taxing.
The fans tend to be unforgiving, and the media can be tough to handle.
There is obviously extra scrutiny in New York.
Could this lead to some key Yankee players departing this offseason?
