It’s no secret that Aaron Judge is having a tremendous season in what could be his final one in a New York Yankees uniform.
The 30-year-old slugger is already up to 54 home runs on the season and will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Judge and the Yankees were unable to come to an agreement on a contract extension earlier this season, which all but confirms that Judge will be testing the waters this offseason.
Whether or not he will be playing in a different uniform next year is unknown, but one Yankees analyst makes it clear that the Yankees top priority this offseason should be trying to retain Judge.
Aaron Judge is Literally who you as an organization would & should spend the bag on. Wont embarrass the org, has a rock star persona but plays it low key, is a superstar on the field, can handle NY, THE leader in the clubhouse, embodies being a yankee. If not Judge then who?

The Case For Keeping Judge In The Bronx
This analyst brings up a lot of good points about Judge.
He’s very even-keel, which fits the Yankees’ mold.
But he also has a good personality, is a superstar on the field, can handle the pressure of playing in New York City, and is one of the leaders in New York’s clubhouse.
In short, he’s the perfect Yankee.
He’s been hitting blasts all season long and has carried the Yankees through some of their tougher stretches of play.
Fans in New York love him to death and he clearly enjoys playing in front of them.
Granted, a ton of teams will be in on the Judge sweepstakes, with the Yankees being one of them.
They certainly are in a good position to try and keep Judge, as they have the financial resources to pull off what could end up being a record deal.
Judge has embodied what it means to be a Yankee since coming up, so there are certainly a lot of reasons why the Yankees would want to keep him around.
