Tonight, the madness that is MLB free agency will begin and players who are not under contract will be eligible to sign with new teams if they so desire.
Aaron Judge headlines a stacked class of free agents after a historic season with the New York Yankees, one in which he hit 62 home runs and set the single-season record for home runs hit by an American League player.
Yesterday, Judge and St. Louis Cardinals slugger Paul Goldschmidt were each gifted with the Hank Aaron Awards for their respective leagues, which is given to the most productive offensive player in the league.
However, when Judge was being interviewed, he constantly referred to his Yankees teammates, speaking of them quite fondly.
Yankees insider Sweeny Murti suggested that this could mean Judge may not want to leave New York.
In this 6 minute clip after winning The Hank Aaron Award, Aaron Judge mentioned “my teammates” 6 times. Of course things happen in free agency, but it doesn’t sound like a group he’s eager to leave. pic.twitter.com/fIpY7fpIw4

Will Judge Stay A Yankee?
While things do happen in free agency, as Murti noted, from the looks of it, Judge does not seem like he wants to leave New York.
Judge has been a fan favorite in New York ever since his arrival in 2016.
In 2017, he set the single-season record for most home runs as a rookie, a record that was broken two years later by Pete Alonso.
This year, he is a finalist for the American League MVP Award alongside Shohei Ohtani and Yordan Alvarez.
So, Yankees fans love him, his teammates love him, and he feels the same way about the fans and his teammates.
This should be taken with a grain of salt, however.
Judge will always appreciate his Yankees teammates, even if he leaves for another team.
