This was declared by St. Louis mayor Tishuara Jones during the special ceremony held for him and Albert Pujols at Busch Stadium on Sunday prior to the Cards’ regular season home finale.
Molina and Pujols are both in their final season, and the Cardinals, as well as the City of St. Louis will be celebrating both of these MLB legends over the next few days.
With this being the fourth day of the month, it makes perfect sense to celebrate Molina, who wore No. 4 for all but two seasons in St. Louis.
On Twitter, the Cardinals asked fans how they would be celebrating today.
Happy Yadier Molina Day!
There are a number of ways Cardinals fans can celebrate this great day.
👏 It's Yadier Molina Day in the City of St. Louis!

You can always watch old footage of Molina’s epic two-run homer in the ninth inning of Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS, and the moment that transpired later, when Adam Wainwright struck out Carlos Beltran to send St. Louis to the World Series.
That was the first of many moments Molina would experience over his many years in the big leagues.
There is of course, no better catcher in the history of the game when it comes to catching base stealers.
You can bet that a lot of Cardinals fans will be watching old footage of him picking off runners and nabbing them when they try to steal second base on him.
However you celebrate if you’re a Cardinals fan, just take a moment today to appreciate the greatness of Yadier Molina and how we may never see another catcher like him again.NEXT: Cardinals Insider Eases Concerns About The Offense
