Roberto Clemente Day means a lot to players around Major League Baseball, especially those born in Puerto Rico, where Clemente was from.
The same can be said for Yadier Molina, who along with St. Louis Cardinals teammates Paul Goldschmidt, Albert Pujols, and Adam Wainwright, sported the iconic No. 21 for last night’s game.
Molina had some special gear to commemorate the Pittsburgh Pirates legend.
His gear still contained the trademark Cardinal red, but also some Pirates gold.
He also had the No. 21 etched on his catcher’s mask.
The future Hall-of-Famer posted a picture of his custom gear on his Instagram story.

Molina Busts Out Clemente-Themed Gear
Molina sure knows how to rock custom gear.
He did it on Wednesday for he and Wainwright’s 325th start together as a battery, with a logo featuring himself and his longtime batterymate.
Last night, he wore a super cool Clemente-themed helmet.
If there’s one thing Molina’s good at outside of baseball, it would be style.
He’s also a former Clemente Award winner, having won the award back in 2018.
He’s one of three active Cardinals players to have won it, along with Wainwright and Pujols.
So naturally, he’s going to take a lot of pride in celebrating Clemente.
But you really can’t go wrong with this custom gear.
Molina came out in style last night with this awesome catcher’s gear.
It doesn’t get any better than that.
Roberto Clemente Day means a lot to Molina, given that he and Clemente both hail from Puerto Rico.
Molina certainly knows how important Clemente was to the game of baseball and to this world.
He himself is a humanitarian, and you can bet that he wore that catcher’s gear proud last night.
