On Wednesday night, the Washington Wizards pulled off a surprisingly strong victory over the New York Knicks.
The 116-105 win was a good sign for the Wizards, who are still sitting toward the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.
A major part of their victory was Kyle Kuzma, who continues to impress and show that he’s come into his own in DC.

On Wednesday, Kuzma was good for 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists.
He also scored four three-pointers too.
Right now, Kuzma is averaging career highs when it comes to points, assists, and threes.
After years of not living up to his potential, it seems clear that Kuzma is operating like he always wanted.
Yet, his team is still not at a playoff level, which means that much attention is being paid to Kuzma and what happens to him in the next few weeks.
You can bet that multiple teams will be calling the Wizards as the February 9 trade deadline looms.
These teams take a look at Kuzma’s current averages – 21.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 4 assists – and see a young star who is playing steady, strong basketball.
But will the Wizards want to part with him?
They also know just how consistent Kuzma has been and they won’t accept a meager trade for him.
Kuzma’s trade value has never been higher so if Washington wants to get a lot in return, now would be the time to start making a deal.
The Wizards are continually on the verge of blowing the team up and starting a huge rebuilding process.
If they want to finally do that, trading Kuzma might be the first step.
Which team will try to acquire Kuzma and how much are they willing to pay to get him?
