Today is the day of the big announcement.
Later on this afternoon we will discover which former MLB stars, if any, will be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
There are several deserving players on the ballot, ranging from Scott Rolen to Carlos Beltran.
The announcement will be made on MLB Network.
Andrea Thome, the wife of Hall-of-Famer Jim Thome, is prepared for the big day.
This morning, she posted a photo on Twitter of her MLB-themed coffee mugs, one that includes the MLB Network logo and the other which includes the logo for the Hall of Fame.
Andrea also posed the question of who will join Fred McGriff in the Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

McGriff of course was elected to the Hall in December.
But baseball fans everywhere are hoping that McGriff isn’t the only one that takes the stage this coming summer.
Players such as Rolen and Beltran have pretty strong chances of getting the call later this afternoon.
Thome himself was elected in 2018.
But other stars such as Billy Wagner, Todd Helton, Gary Sheffield, Jimmy Rollins, and Andruw Jones remain on the ballot and have compelling Hall of Fame cases.
Today, we’ll find out who will ultimately be enshrined in the Hall and who may have to wait just a little while longer.
The excitement is building, and fans everywhere are prepared for the official announcement this evening to see if some of their favorite players will get the call and be enshrined in Cooperstown.
