Everything you read about Shakeology will tell you that it is healthy and good for you.

The more you learn, the more you may want to try it.

Unfortunately, when you look at the price of Shakeology, you may have to change your mind.

There is no questioning the fact that Shakeology is expensive.

Let’s take a deeper look into why this nutritional drink costs so much money.

Why Is Shakeology So Expensive

1. Sales System In Place

commission

If you know anything about how Beachbody and Shakeology work, you may understand that their sales system is a major reason for the shakes being so expensive.

The person who sells you the shake is going to get a commission on the sale.

The person who coaches the person who sold you the shake is also going to get a commission.

Of course, Shakeology needs to make their money on the sale as well.

These kinds of companies have quite a few people who are going to make money along the way.

Since so many hands are in the pot, the price is naturally going to be higher.

This is not to say that purchasing Shakeology from a top leader in the company is going to be cheaper.

Regardless of your position at Beachbody, you will have to sell Shakeology for the same price at which it is sold elsewhere.

In fact, the pricing for Shakeology is very strict.

If you are seeing Shakeology somewhere for much less than it is advertised on the website there could be an issue.

You would not want to end up with something that is fake or a copy.

Chances are, it will not have the same ingredients that Shakeology has.

The way Beachbody has set up their company, there are quite a few incentives for those who are selling Shakeology.

In fact, the commissions for Shakeology can be even higher than those for other Beachbody products.

Although this is a high-quality product, there is still a high profit margin on it from the company.

When you purchase Shakeology, several people are making money from you and that is one of the reasons the pricing is so high.

2. Ingredients-All Natural

natural

Shakeology is made with all-natural ingredients.

It comes in a few different flavors, and they offer both a whey-based shake and a plant-based shake.

Shakeology is very particular about what they put inside their shake.

They will only use all-natural ingredients which have been proven to help people who are using the product.

Shakeology is made up of super greens, super fruits, antioxidants, and vitamins as well.

These shakes are built with only the best of the best ingredients your system needs.

When you look more and more at the benefits of Shakeology you will see why it is so expensive.

Beachbody claims that consuming one shake is the same as eating 16 salads.

Certainly, you can get much more nutritional benefit from one shake than you can from eating your typical lunch.

Another great thing about the Shakeology shakes is that they are proven to decrease your cravings for sweets and other foods that are bad for you.

The shakes won’t necessarily stop you from eating, but they will make you think twice about the food choices you are making.

When you combine this with exercise and a healthy mentality, chances are you will stop eating the junk you are accustomed to eating.

Therefore, Shakeology becomes even more beneficial.

Although they will not refer to this specifically as a weight loss shake, you can certainly use it to help you lose weight.

Shakeology also offers probiotics, prebiotic, fiber, and digestive enzymes.

These will help your stomach feel better and help your systems work better as well.

Not only does this happen when you are drinking your shake, but when you are eating your other meals as well.

The bottom line is that this is a very nutritionally balanced food made of natural plants and proteins.

Many less expensive shakes are going to be made with artificially created ingredients.

When ingredients are manmade and artificial, they tend to have significant long-term risks than something that is natural.

3. Meal Replacement

different shakes

Shakeology is meant to be a meal.

You should use Shakeology to replace your breakfast or your lunch.

Then you should fill in with two other healthy meals that day.

Since this is supposed to be a complete meal, it certainly increases the price.

The good news about this is that you will decrease a bit of your spending on your grocery bill.

Are you paying a certain amount of money to make breakfast or lunch every day currently?

Most people would admit they are spending at least a few dollars on each of these meals.

When you add that up for the month, you can subtract it from the price you will pay for Shakeology.

We highly recommend keeping a budget and determining whether or not Shakeology is going to cost you money or save you money.

If you work outside of the house, chances are purchasing Shakeology is going to save you quite a bit of money.

You will not have to worry about going out to lunch and spending probably anywhere from $10 to $15 a day on your lunch.

If you look at Shakeology from this perspective, you can see why it is priced the way it is.

A meal replacement shake is always priced higher than those that are just nutritional supplements.

4. Shipping

Looking at the prices of the individual shakes, you will notice they are high to begin with.

However, once you add in the shipping, things get even higher.

This is partly because the bag of Shakeology is quite heavy.

The bag you get will last you for about 30 days.

You should get enough shakes to get you through the month, but this costs a good bit in shipping.

There may be discounts if you commit to larger order sizes, but for the most part, there is going to be some shipping you will need to pay for.

The problem with this is that there is just no way around it.

Since Shakeology is a subscription, you are not going to be able to go and pick it up in the store instead.

You will have to order directly from the manufacturer and be forced to pay for shipping.

The best advice we can recommend is to try and buy in bulk and look for a discount when it comes to shipping.

5. Healthy

We have seen this before, and we will see it many more times.

Food that is healthy for you is also going to be expensive.

What makes this even more apparent with Shakeology is that these shakes are designed to go along with a fitness and whole health plan.

As you drink the Shakeology shakes, you are supposed to be participating in the Beach Body workout programs.

The programs combined with the drink are going to help to give you the best results.

Many people are afraid that, if they only do the workout program, they won’t get the results they want.

Others think that if they only do the shake, they won’t get the results.

This helps Beachbody to increase the pricing on both the exercise system and the shakes.

Clearly, the shakes are the larger moneymaker for Beachbody because they are repeat and recurring revenue.

Once people get hooked on the benefit of these shakes, they are going to continue to order them.

Many will go on an automatic billing cycle because it will likely save them a bit of money to do so.

Once you get people hooked like this, you can raise the pricing, and some won’t even notice.

However, those who are scared to get hooked on a full subscription nutritional program will pay extra for the single-serve Shakeology.

This only makes Beachbody even more money as the pricing is high for these types of packets.

Overall, people want to be healthy, they want to care for their bodies more, but it is a very hard thing to do.

Without a shake or a system like this, people think they are not capable of getting healthy.

Shakeology changes the mindset of people, and this is partly why they are sold for such high prices.

When people are looking to lose weight and kickstart their diet, they want something easy and manageable.

Beachbody, mixed with Shakeology, provides precisely that.

Is Shakeology Worth It?

Worried woman spread hands

Now that you have seen the benefits of Shakeology and the way it works, some of the pricing may make more sense to you.

The question now is whether or not it is worth the money.

Most people will have to come to this conclusion on their own.

However, for those who have a hard time managing their weight and their diet, the expense of Shakeology can be a good thing.

With Shakeology being priced so high, you may think twice about your other food choices when you are using it.

If you are drinking this expensive shake for lunch, it may make you think twice about the hamburger and French fries you want to have for dinner.

Sometimes this high price can be almost like a commitment.

Indeed, this is a commitment to your health and wellbeing.

Although it can be hard to justify the expense, if you are going to be fully involved and active in the workouts and competing to reach your goals, it is very much worth it.

For those who say Shakeology is just like any other shake, we would have to disagree.

There are some significant proven benefits behind the Shakeology drinks which other shakes don’t have.

The results you see are going to show that Shakeology does work.

It takes time and commitment, but if you follow the advice and direction, you will have success with the Shakeology program.

Some people will try Shakeology for a year or so and stop having it after a while because they get bored with it.

Many will immediately go back to it because they don’t feel as healthy as they once did.

There are other companies similar to Shakeology, like Isagenix, that will offer some other all-natural drinks as well.

Conclusion

Hopefully, we have helped to clear up why Shakeology is so expensive.

Between the business model, the ingredients, and the health benefits, it is easy for Shakeology to raise prices.

Even when they raise pricing, people will continue to pay.

They will pay because they are seeing results and noticing improvements in their health.

If you want to try Shakeology before placing an expensive order, you can find a local representative.

The representative will have a sample packet they will let you have to see if the taste works for you.

I really enjoyed watching Darin Olin and Efrom 10 series on TV. Intrigued by Darin’s passion for healthy Whole Foods and his daily nutrition supplement – Shakelogy, I wanted to try a sampler.
