The Golden State Warriors have reportedly shown interest in one of the best players in all of basketball.
That player is Portland Trail Blazers superstar, Damian Lillard.
The Warriors have internally discussed a trade for Damian Lillard, per @TheAthletic.

Trying to picture a Lillard, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson backcourt seems too unreal.
However, there has been tension brewing between Lillard and the Trail Blazers as of late.
Losing another first-round series, this time to a depleted Denver Nuggets squad, was the beginning of this turmoil.
Then they fired Terry Stotts; the only coach Lillard has had in his career.
They hired Chauncey Billups without discussing his past allegations of sexual assault with Lillard.
Lastly, there is the belief that the Trail Blazers can never build a contender with Lillard on the team.
Lillard has tried to denounce any friction with the front office.

However, we see the writing on the wall.
That is where the Warriors come in the picture as they are ready to scoop up the six-time All-Star.
Some wonder if he will fit great with the Warriors?
The answer to that question is an obvious yes and here is why.
The Third Splash Brother
Curry and Thompson have been known as the greatest shooters this game has ever seen.
In fact, Curry is simply known as the greatest ever at shooting without anyone debating it.
After those two, you can make a great argument that Lillard is the next best shooter in the league.
We have been accustomed to Curry shooting threes from the logo, but we have seen it with Lillard as well.
This shooting trio will be unfair to the rest of the NBA.
Their three-point shooting would be unheard of.
Teams would have a hard time trying to adapt to an offense this high powered.
We saw the Warriors with Kevin Durant and that was just as scary.
This trio could be shooting threes from everywhere on the court.
Lillard Could Help Rebuild The Dynasty
It has been two years since we saw the Warriors in the NBA Finals.
That is weird after seeing them in it for five straight seasons.
We were used to seeing Thompson, Curry, and Draymond Green play games in June.
The Warriors and the Finals were synonymous with one another.
However, they have not made the playoffs the last two seasons.
There has been some issues with the team.
Thompson has been injured the last two full seasons.
Green has regressed offensively.
Curry was hurt two years ago, but put on a spectacular season this year.
The rest of the roster does seem like they are meant to be in the league on any team.
No playoffs in Golden State does not seem right.
Lillard coming to this team would easily bring them back to the glory days of two years ago.
The dynasty ended, but perhaps a new one can be born.
The Warriors might not want Lillard in all honesty.
They might truly need him in order to be back at the top of the NBA; where they belong.
