Drama in the NFL is the normal for 2022 with what fans already saw during the NFL offseason.
However, none is more surprising than the Kyler Murray situation with the Arizona Cardinals.
The young quarterback wants more money from the team.
But as of now, the Cardinals don’t seem willing to play ball with Murray in contract talks.
Some fans are wondering why their team is waiting to make a deal with their quarterback.
However, other fans seem to have their own opinions on why Arizona is waiting to sign Murray.
So what are the reasons Arizona doesn’t sign their quarterback to a contract?
Murray Lacks True Leadership Skills
One complaint Cardinals fans have about Murray is his leadership skill.
Actually, it’s his lack of those very important skills they complain about.
Leadership helped Tom Brady win seven Super Bowl rings.
It also helped many other talented quarterbacks in the NFL, like Joe Montana in Super Bowl XXIII.
He used his leadership skills to calm down the team on a crucial fourth-quarter drive.
One simple question turned into a winning drive for the 49ers.

With that question, San Francisco shook off the nerves of the Super Bowl and won the game.
Murray lacks this talent, preventing him from leading the team into greatness.
Murray’s Performance After Return From Injury In 2021 Ended His MVP Run
The first seven games of the 2021 NFL season saw Murray playing his best games.
However, it all went downhill after an injury he suffered in a game against the Green Bay Packers.
The team would lose that game, their first loss of the season.
But until that game, Murray was leading in the NFL MVP talks.

Who could blame those people for thinking he was MVP worthy?
However, when he came back from his injury, his performance suffered.
While some problems could be from him not having star receiver DeAndre Hopkins, other problems were of his own making.
He finished 2-4 after returning from his injury, losing critical games against the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks.
Those losses pushed the Cardinals into the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
It also kept them from winning their division, meaning they had to play their first game on the road and not at home.
Cardinals Fans Don’t See Murray As Mature QB, And The Team Might Agree
A common theme with Cardinals fans is their vocal option on Murray’s maturity on and off the field.
Others outside of the team’s fan base have also pointed out things about Murray and the Cardinals.
The odd vibe between the @AZCardinals and Kyler Murray is indeed alarming:
Murray is described as self-centered, immature and finger pointer, per sources.
Murray is frustrated with franchise and was embarrassed by playoff loss to Rams and thinks he’s been framed as the scapegoat— Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) February 13, 2022
As Chris Mortensen states in his tweet, Murray is described as “Self-centered, immature, and (a) finger pointer.”
Those things are red flags for any NFL fan and team with a player.
If true, this could be the reason Arizona isn’t making Murray an offer.
No team needs a player that can’t accept responsibility when they make mistakes.
By the sounds of things, Murray rather blame others with his problems instead of owning those problems as his own
