White Sox Share A Familiar Eloy Jimenez Update

It doesn’t seem to matter what happens for Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez.

The guy just can’t seem to stay healthy.

The 25-year-old slugger has been limited to just 66 at-bats in 19 games due to a hamstring injury he suffered early in the season, which kept him out until he was activated just a week ago on July 6.

It’s only been a week since he was actually reinstated by the White Sox, but now, he may be returning to the shelf here shortly.

He left last night’s game against the Cleveland Guardians with tightness in his right leg.

The White Sox tweeted the news following his exit from the game.

Eloy Hurt Again

This is the same leg that bothered Jimenez earlier in the year.

The White Sox did not specify which part of his right leg is ailing him this time, but one can only assume that the hamstring still just isn’t right, which has prompted a most familiar update for the White Sox and their fans.

This is disappointing for Jimenez and is most unwelcome news as the White Sox are trying to get healthy and turn their season around.

They did win last night, 2-1, and ultimately took the series from the Guardians, thanks to a solid start from Lucas Giolito.

But that doesn’t take the sting out of the fact that Jimenez is hurt yet again and his hamstring is still not quite there.

Jimenez is hitting .197 on the season with two home runs and 13 RBI.

He has also posted a .542 OPS.

Granted, he has been hurt, so it’s hard to put too much stock into that.

But the White Sox may be preparing to be without him for a long time.
