The Chicago White Sox, widely expected to run away with the AL Central title once again this year, have had a rough year with injuries.
As a result of that, and some lousy play all-around, they have a losing record as of Thursday afternoon, at 26-28.
The Pale Hose expected to get Eloy Jimenez back in the next few days, but those plans will not take place for a while.
“Eloy Jimenez felt discomfort running while playing at Charlotte. So he is being taken off his injury rehab for a short time– 5 days. The hope is he can re start early next week,” MLB.com’s beat writer for the White Sox, Scott Merkin, tweeted on Thursday.

Jimenez is an excellent middle-of-the-order producer, yet the White Sox have only gotten 11 games and 39 plate appearances out of him this year.
He was also hurt for much of the 2021 season, too, so the situation is definitely frustrating.
A Setback Along The Way
He hasn’t played since April 23, when he had to be taken out with a torn hamstring tendon behind his right knee.
He underwent surgery and was expected to miss 6-8 weeks with the ailment.
As of now, he is closer to the six-week timeline than the eight-week, which was probably a mistake by the White Sox.
There was no way they could foresee him re-aggravating the ailment, though it happens sometimes.
It remains to be seen how long he will be sidelined after his most recent setback came up.
Chicago certainly needs him in the middle of their lineup.
When healthy, Jimenez is a sure bet to hit at least 30 homers, like he did in 2019 (31 long balls in 122 games).
