White Sox In The Midst Of A Total Meltdown

The Chicago White Sox were off to a solid start, but since going 6-2 in their first eight games, things haven’t been so great on the South side of Chicago.

The White Sox now sit at 6-10, tied for last place with the Detroit Tigers and having lost eight games in a row.

ESPN’s Jesse Rogers tweeted about how bad things have been on the South side thus far in 2022.

Last night’s 6-0 loss was their seventh against three different divisional opponents this year.

They also made two errors, which brought their total up to 20 on the year, the most in all of baseball, and walked 11 batters.

The White Sox dropped their 8th in a row, the last 7 against 3 diff division foes. They made their 19th and 20th errors on the season, the most in the majors.

And Eleven walks by Royals hitters tonight are the most for any team this season and the most for KC since May 11, 2011

Chicago Collapse

The White Sox are in the middle of a total and complete meltdown.

Tony La Russa‘s squad has been as bad as you can get over the past eight games.

Though the White Sox look good on paper and there’s still plenty of time remaining in the 2022 season, this is not the way you want to start if you’re La Russa.

With such high expectations coming into the season, the White Sox have been nothing short of a disappointment through the first 16 games of 2022.

The fact that they lead the majors in errors and walking 11 batters just shows the kind of tailspin they’re in at the moment.

It’s been pretty brutal for them.

The White Sox are struggling very badly and need to turn it around quick if they’re going to repeat as AL Central champions.

We’ll see if they can solve their problems and turn their season around.
