The Chicago White Sox know that spring training is like objects in a mirror: closer than they appear.
They are teasing us with quality social media content that will soothe our feelings of nostalgia.
However, at the same time, it makes us all a bit more anxious, but in a good way: we can’t wait to have baseball back, and videos like this one only help to make our love for the game increase.
Nothing like the sound of the pop of a glove. 🤩

As they said themselves, “nothing like the sound of the pop of a glove.”
That sound the ball makes when meeting the glove is pure glory.
Not only that, but the sound of players walking with their cleats on is also one that takes us back to the very first few days of spring training every year.
Baseball, perhaps more than every other sport in the world, is a game of and for the senses.
Just by seeing a picture or watching a video, you can hear the pop of the glove, the bat hitting the ball, or even the sound of a pitcher making a hitter miss.
You can smell the freshly-cut wet grass and imagine players back from the holidays meeting and greeting.
You can almost touch the seams of the ball, grip the bat, and imagine yourself putting on a helmet, ready to get some of the first hacks of the spring.
The White Sox, without knowing, just reminded us all why we love baseball with a short 50-second clip.
