Chicago White Sox ace Lance Lynn has been out since the end of spring training due to a torn meniscus he suffered just a few days shy of Opening Day.
They’ve had to piece together a rotation with a ton of moving parts since he went down.
However, they will no longer have to wait for Lynn’s return.
Lynn will be making his 2022 season debut tonight against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.
Sox On Tap, a White Sox centric podcast, posted on their Twitter page a GIF of Lynn smiling on the mound, celebrating the return of one of the fiercest competitors in the game of baseball.

Lynn-ing Time
Lynn brings great energy to the mound on the days he pitches.
He’s a guy with a ton of great experience and he always has that sort of bulldog mentality when he pitches.
Ever since he came up with the St. Louis Cardinals, he has been one of the best pitchers in all of baseball and a guy who can eat up innings and give a team quality starts.
The White Sox are finally getting that guy back tonight and will soon get some much-needed innings coverage from their ace pitcher.
In 28 starts a season ago, Lynn went 11-6 with a 2.69 ERA and threw 157 total innings.
The White Sox acquired him prior to last season from the Texas Rangers in exchange for pitcher Dane Dunning.
Lynn proved to be exactly what the White Sox were looking for last season, providing solid innings coverage and going deep into games.
We’ll see if he can get back to dominating tonight when he makes his much-anticipated 2022 season debut.
