Today, June 21, marks the first day of summer in 2022.
This means that we are in the meat of the 2022 MLB season and that the dog days of the season are right around the corner.
This also means that the All-Star Game is coming up soon.
That game will take place on July 19 at Dodger Stadium.
Fans are coming out and showing their support for their teams by voting for their favorite players in an effort to send them to Los Angeles.
Some teams are trending well while others may be struggling just a bit.
One Chicago White Sox fan is particularly upset about where things stand in terms of voting and did not hesitate to say as much on Twitter, comparing Tim Anderson‘s stats to those of Bo Bichette, who is the leading vote-getter at shortstop.
Bo Bichette: .259/.304/.421 (.725 OPS), 105 OPS+, 104 wRC+, 1.2 bWAR, 1.2 fWAR
Tim Anderson: .357/.393/.500 (.893 OPS), 155 OPS+, 160 wRC+, 1.9 bWAR, 2.2 fWAR
I know TA missed some time because of injury but Bichette having more votes than him is absolutely outrageous. https://t.co/caFvpJeHWa

Is TA Being Snubbed?
If you look at the stats, you can see where this White Sox fan is coming from.
Anderson’s stats are better than Bichette’s at the moment.
Of course, we need to take into account that Anderson missed a little time with an injury, and this White Sox fan does point that out.
But the stats all still favor Anderson.
It’s also worth remembering that we are only in the first phase of voting right now.
Anderson is still a close second to Bichette and things can change quickly.
This is and always has been a process that fluctuates, so there is still time for Anderson to make a surge and take the top spot from Bichette.
But it’s understandable why this fan is frustrated.
He feels that Anderson is being snubbed.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks and how things turn out.
