Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa has been away from the team for some time because of some heart-related health issues.
In his absence, bench coach Miguel Cairo has taken the reins in an interim capacity and the team has picked things up as of late.
But back to La Russa.
There isn’t a clear consensus on whether or not he’ll return to the team at any point this year.
One White Sox insider echoed these concerns on Twitter and said that before long, there needs to be a clear answer on the situation, citing that it’s created somewhat of a distraction.
I want some resolution to this Tony La Russa situation. Someone to say that he is coming back or he isn’t. A leader somewhere within the White Sox organization has to settle things. Either 100 or 0 percent because his possible return is creating a distraction

Uncertainty Surrounding The La Russa Situation
While the White Sox have played quite well in La Russa’s absence, there does need to be a clear-cut answer on whether or not La Russa will return.
Things such as this can create a major distraction around the team, and that seems to be the case here with the White Sox.
Who knows if La Russa will even return at all?
The White Sox brass may feel like things are trending in the right direction under Cairo and that that will be the direction they want to take the team.
The uncertainty surrounding this issue is unhealthy for the team and White Sox fans.
Some White Sox fans have been very frustrated with how La Russa has done things lately.
Perhaps general manager Rick Hahn will take note of that and choose to keep Cairo at the helm.
The direction the team has gone under Cairo has to be encouraging for them.
It doesn’t mean that they can’t do the same under La Russa, but a decision needs to be made sooner or later.
