The Denver Nuggets found one of the most intriguing young guards in the league in Bones Hyland.
They felt so optimistic about him that they even let Monte Morris and Facundo Campazzo go to let him serve as the backup point guard to Jamal Murray.
Hyland took a step forward this season, serving as one of the most explosive backup guards in the Association.
However, it seems like he’s not seeing eye-to-eye with Nuggets’ coach Mike Malone, and The Atheltic’s Shams Charania reports the team is fielding calls for his services.
Charania adds that the Minnesota Timberwolves have already reached out to the Nuggets to inquire about his availability, which makes perfect sense, all things considered.

The Timberwolves crave a scoring punch off the bench.
More than that, there’s a strong chance they also decide to move on from D’Angelo Russell, with the Miami Heat reportedly interested in trading for him.
Hyland can play on and off the ball, which would fit perfectly next to a guy like Anthony Edwards.
He’s an explosive, streaky, and versatile scorer who can score from all three levels and get hot in the blink of an eye.
Nonetheless, it would be tough to determine his trade value at this point, especially considering how much draft capital the Timberwolves have already spent in the Rudy Gobert trade.
More than that, Hyland’s departure would leave a glaring hole in the Nuggets’ rotation, and a team that’s sitting at the best record in the Western Conference shouldn’t mess with its rotation.
