Patrick Mahomes is held to such a high standard that even one bad game raises major alarms.
But it was more than one this year for the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.
Mahomes entered Week 10 with only two touchdowns in his previous three games.
He also showed up with 10 interceptions on the year.
Unfortunately for the Las Vegas Raiders, Mahomes decided to erase all the narratives about him being in a slump.
Mahomes went wild for 406 yards, five touchdowns, and no picks in the 41-14 beatdown of his division rival.
That earned him a nice weekly honor as well.

A feeling of normalcy begins to creep in when one sees Mahomes’ name as the AFC Player of the Week during what has been an odd NFL season.
The Chiefs Are Back
The real rough patch for Mahomes came following a Week 4 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in which he threw five touchdowns.
He followed it up with two interceptions in an ugly loss to the Buffalo Bills, and had two more the following week in a win over Washington.
Rock bottom came in a 27-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Mahomes had 206 yards and an interception in a game that seemed to prove the Chiefs had fallen out of favor as AFC contenders.

But the season is a long one and it was foolish to think Mahomes had suddenly regressed to a major degree.
The Titans are also just a really good football team.
Taking down the Raiders in such a big way proves not much has changed in Kansas City.
Mahomes is still elite and that offense is capable of putting up 40 points on any given day.
Now that his confidence is back, a Chiefs player could take home this Player of the Week honor ever week until the end of the season.
