The Golden State Warriors are the current NBA reigning champions and they did it because their entire team stepped up when it mattered most.
Yes, Stephen Curry won this year’s Finals MVP, but it really was a team effort.
While everyone gave it their all, some players shined more than others.

Andrew Wiggins was one of those players who really stepped up in the postseason and especially as the team attempted to close out the Western Conference.
One particular play is still getting a lot of attention from Warriors fans – and Dallas Mavericks fans too.
It was during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals as the Warriors attempted to take down the Mavericks.
Wiggins emphatically sealed his team’s win over the Mavs with a monster dunk over star player Luka Doncic.
The dunk is one that will go down in history and really showed that the Mavs weren’t going to be able to keep up with the Warriors.
A Rim-Shattering Play
Doncic is one of the best players in the league and is usually in complete control of the court while playing.
But he got embarrassed with this now-iconic jam.
The dunk went down with just under seven minutes remaining in the fourth.
The Warriors were already up 91-83 and this was a nail in the coffin.
Even though the dunk happened in Dallas, fans were on their feet afterward, partly out of shock and partly out of amazement.
Wiggins would go on to continue dominating during that series and did great work in the Finals too.
In fact, some people felt he was in the running for Finals MVP but that ultimately went to Curry for the first time.
It doesn’t matter because Wiggins’ dunk was a prize in and of itself.
