While the MLB world focuses on Aaron Judge‘s chase for the American League single-season home run record, the Toronto Blue Jays stole the spotlight a little bit on Monday night.
After the Jays had rallied from a 2-0 deficit against the New York Yankees, the game went into extra innings, and in the bottom of the 10th, they had just the right guy at the plate in Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
With Cavan Biggio on second, Guerrero lined one out to left field to drive Biggio in and deliver a walk-off win for the Blue Jays, decreasing their magic number to clinch a playoff spot to three and putting the Yankees celebration on hold.
But after game, Guerrero made a gesture to the crowd, signaling that Rogers Centre was his house.

“My House”
Guerrero sure knows how to assert dominance.
He doesn’t want the Yankees to steal his thunder.
The Blue Jays want to do everything in their power to put the Yankees celebration on hold for as long as they possibly can.
And Guerrero wants everybody to know that Rogers Centre is his house.
It’s where he comes up clutch the most.
It’s where he feels comfortable hitting in key spots, just like he did last night.
While the Yankees are likely to clinch the AL East soon, the Blue Jays still have something left to play for as well.
This team is a force to be reckoned with and a team that we could see in the World Series potentially.
You just can’t count them out.
This is a big series for them.
Will the Yankees clinch the East, or will the Blue Jays manage to hold their celebration off?
