Attending baseball games is one of the many fun things to do during the summer season.
There’s just something about going to see a game that screams summer.
Fans enjoy the experience and love the chance to watch their favorite MLB teams in action.
Unfortunately, depending on where you go for a baseball game, the experience itself, while mostly enjoyable, can be quite expensive.
The cost of beer, food, and parking can be a little ridiculous.
Sports Business insider Mark J. Burns tweeted a viral graphic showing just how much the full experience of a baseball game can cost, showing the average cost of basic things per team.

High Prices
That’s quite expensive, depending on which ballpark you go to.
Parking costs have risen, and so have the costs for beer, food, and soda.
Some of that can be chalked up to inflation, but it’s kind of ridiculous how much some of these things cost.
Food at ballparks is usually mediocre at best, so it’s hard to imagine why that would cost so much.
The experience as a whole costs a bunch.
These numbers are the average numbers for how much it would cost your typical family of four to attend just one game, and the average cost for four beers, hot dogs, and sodas, in addition to how much it already costs on average to simply park.
Perhaps this could be one of the reasons why baseball is losing fan support.
The costs can be crazy when they really don’t need to be.
And that’s just where things stand right now in 2022.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the future and where we ultimately are in 2023.
