The regular NBA season hasn’t even started yet but people are already talking about the team chemistry of the Los Angeles Lakers.
For months now, people have been wondering if the Lakers would get along, play together well, and actually work like a real team – unlike last season when they felt like a group of disconnected superstars who didn’t know how to perform as a unit.
Because of that, Wednesday night had a moment that left Lakers fans very afraid for the months ahead.

In the third quarter, Patrick Beverley attempted to create a team huddle with a few of the other Lakers stars, including LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
He tried to get Russell Westbrook into the action but Westbrook obviously wasn’t loving the idea, choosing to instead stand away from the group.
It wasn’t a good look from Westbrook and had many people wondering if this team isn’t getting along as well as it should be.
Where’s Westbrook?
Westbrook has been saying that he’s willing to change the way he plays and his role within the team in order to help them win in 2022-23.
But if this moment from Wednesday is an indication of his mindset, there shouldn’t be a lot of faith in those statements from him.
But perhaps people are looking into this denial of the huddle too much.
Maybe Westbrook was just in the zone of the game and not into the idea of conversing with the rest of the team at the moment.
Maybe they’re all getting along just fine.
But maybe there is trouble brewing below the surface and the team isn’t as harmonious as it should be.
We will be finding out the truth soon enough when the new season begins.
